Our Story
Scottish Energy Efficiency was founded with a clear mission: to make renewable energy accessible, affordable, and straightforward for every home and business in Scotland.
Based at Unit 3, Prospect III, Prospect Business Centre, Dundee DD2 1TY, we have grown from a small team of passionate renewable energy engineers into one of Scotland’s leading installation companies. Our growth has been built on a simple principle — do excellent work, treat customers fairly, and let our results speak for themselves.
We specialise in solar panel installations, battery storage systems, air source heat pumps, and EV charger installations. Every project is designed, managed, and installed by our own in-house team — we never subcontract our core work.
Our team has installed thousands of renewable energy systems across Scotland, from the Borders to the Highlands. We are proud to hold the industry’s most respected accreditations: MCS, RECC, TrustMark, and NAPIT.

MCS Certified
Microgeneration Certification Scheme
The industry standard for renewable energy installations. MCS certification is required for customers to access government grants, the Smart Export Guarantee, and ensures installations meet rigorous quality standards. We are MCS certified for solar PV and heat pump installations.
RECC Member
Renewable Energy Consumer Code
RECC membership means we adhere to a strict code of conduct covering sales practices, contract terms, and customer protection. RECC provides an independent disputes resolution process and requires members to meet ongoing compliance standards.
TrustMark Registered
Government Endorsed Quality Scheme
TrustMark is the UK government's endorsed quality scheme for tradespeople. Registration demonstrates that our work is carried out to recognised standards, with proper insurance, and subject to regular inspection. Required for government-funded energy efficiency work.
NAPIT Approved
National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers
NAPIT membership certifies our electrical competence, covering EV charger installation, battery storage, and all electrical aspects of solar PV work. Our electricians are assessed annually and all work is subject to compliance checks.

Survey & Design Team
Our qualified surveyors assess your property, design the optimal system using industry-leading software, and produce detailed installation plans. They ensure every system is tailored to your specific property and energy needs.
Installation Engineers
Our MCS-certified installation engineers carry out all roofing, electrical, and commissioning work. Each team member holds relevant qualifications including NAPIT electrical certification, working at height, and manufacturer-specific training.
Customer Support
