How It Works

From enquiry to aftercare in 8 clear steps.

No surprises, no hidden stages. We manage the entire process — advice, design, paperwork, and project management. Installation is carried out by our MCS-registered partner, Home Heating Services Scotland.

Your journey, step by step

Every project follows the same proven process. Here is exactly what happens and when.

  1. 1

    Enquiry

Get in touch by phone (0141 230 0198), online form, or WhatsApp. Tell us roughly what you are interested in — solar panels, battery storage, a heat pump, an EV charger, or a combination. No commitment, no pressure.

  2. 2

    Free survey

A qualified surveyor visits your property to assess your roof, orientation, shading, electrical setup, and energy use. This is a proper technical survey — not a sales visit. We measure, photograph, and gather the data needed for an accurate design.

  3. 3

    System design + exact figures

Using survey data, we design a system tailored to your property and produce an itemised quote with exact generation figures, savings projections, and payback period. No vague estimates — you see exactly what you are getting and what it will cost.

  4. 4

    DNO notification

We handle the G98 or G99 application to your Distribution Network Operator (SPEN or SSEN in Scotland). This is a legal requirement before connecting a generator to the grid. Most domestic systems need only a G98 notification; larger systems require a G99 application with a longer lead time.

  5. 5

    Building warrant where needed

Most domestic solar installations do not require a building warrant in Scotland, but some do — for example, listed buildings, conservation areas, or structural alterations. If yours does, we prepare and submit the application on your behalf.

  6. 6

    Installation

Installation is carried out by Home Heating Services (Scotland) Ltd (SC484353), our MCS-registered partner. Their directly employed engineers handle all roofing, electrical, and plumbing work. No subcontracting of core work. A typical domestic solar + battery installation takes 1–2 days.

  7. 7

    Commissioning + handover

The system is tested, commissioned, and registered on the MCS Installation Database. You receive a handover pack including your MCS certificate, warranty documents, user manuals, DNO confirmation, and monitoring app setup. We walk you through how everything works.

  8. 8

    Aftercare

Our relationship does not end at handover. We set up your Smart Export Guarantee payments, monitor your system remotely, and provide ongoing support. If anything needs attention, call 0141 230 0198 — you speak to someone who knows your installation.
